Interested in the blurred lines between composition and improvisation, much of Peter’s creative practice focusses on how we communicate.

Often working across disciplines, he has performed and toured internationally, regularly collaborating with dancers, filmmakers, visual artists and theatre-makers. He has written music for theatre and film as well as for choirs, string ensembles and youth orchestras.

In 2023, Peter established New String Collective, a brand new improvising string orchestra.

Peter is a passionate educator and advocate for inclusion and has worked in multiple music education settings, most recently as Director of Music at Sistema Scotland.
